Now that she's gone...

Featuring Duke Astoreth, now fully Astaroth, from Angel Sanctuary, a manga by Yuki Kaori. Drawn with a mechanical pencil and scanned into Photoshop, and there's a coloured version on the digital section. There's a spoiler that goes along with this picture, so I'll block that out below. SPOILER: The duchess, Astarte, has been killed by Abaddon because she was going to swallow Kurai, and right before she dies, she switches back to her snake form so that she'll die there and her brother will get to live his life in the body now, since that's what he always wanted. When Belial (Madhatter) comes to give him an invitation, s/he mourns Astarte's death while Astoreth is being a punk and laughing about how he's glad to finally be rid of her, but Belial gets angry with his childish reponse. Astoreth, whatever hostility he felt towards his sister, finds himself crying tears of blood... Okay that's my sob story for you there.
