Sexy new baby

“Byakudan Yuugi” - Inoue Kazuhiko

Oh. Gosh. So I gave birth to a thirty-one pound baby yesterday. Ouch. He’s gorgeous, shiny, sexy, and glows in the dark. No really. He glows a brilliant red inside sexy black metal mesh. I have a bad stomachache tonight, today, whatever, so I’ve been up transferring data and installing things. Yeah. SIGH. I’m so tired but I can’t sleep. I hate these stomachaches I swear. Or am I cramping? I can’t even tell.

So, to briefly list specifications for my brand new baby, he’s a Gateway FX6803 with Intel Core i7-930 (2.80ghz), 9gb 1333mhz DDR3, 1.5tb 7200rpm SATA, ATI Radeon HD5850 1gb (yum), and 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. Yays and yums. I want more RAM. (Shush, for this price? I wanted more damnit.) Weirdly, I’m most excited about the two expandable and hot-swappable SATA bays at the front though it’s not like I have random SATA drives lying around. I mean, Razi was using IDEs dude, as if I’d have 3.5″ SATAs floating about my room for no reason at all. I do have 2.5″ ones though, but they’re all in cases. Hm. I might rip out one though… Not sure what the motherboard is, but the one listed on Fry’s says Intel H57 Express Chipset? Whatever, maybe not. Because my USB devices are overflowing horrendously lately, this baby has TEN. Dude. Love it. There’s also two eSATA slots in the back, a card reader at top front, oh and finally I have a bluray drive. Whoopie, now I can buy pretty resolution movies and screencap.

So why am I in PAIN? I mean, mental pain, anyway? I spent $1700 on this rig. Shit. Oh and there are 6 DIMMS, so the current RAM setup is really, really strange. It’s using three 2gb sticks and three 1gb sticks. Talk about trying to get rid of their low-end DDR3 supply, sheesh. Well whatever, I found out the price for a 4gb stick is around $100 so it’s not too bad when I start drooling for more memory.

My stomachache is finally starting to go away. =w= Good thing I have absolutely nothing to do today except for vespers in the evening. I *could* go watch Harry Potter but I think I’ll wait until next week, when the crazies have died down and it’s daytime during the week so I won’t have to inhale BO. ::shudders::

Yeah. I still want a new sound card, but I don’t mind using the built-in audio for the time being. My precious needs a name now, what shall I name him? Earlier, I thought of a PERFECTLY fitting name, and then realized that it’s the worst name at the same time currently. Fuck it.

I stare at the CPU and think… Why on earth would I need quad-core? Maybe in three years I’ll see the need…

So. My baby needs a name. I’ve got some pictures up, those who can see it, any suggestions? ^_^ A new computer always warrants something beautiful.

In other news, I want a heart transplant.
