Genre: song fic based on "Bosanova, Casanova" sung by Koyasu Takehito & Seki Tomokazu (Weiß Kreuz)
Rating: PG-15
Warnings: yaoi, oral, angst
Notes: This is a song fic, beware if you dislike these! The song "Bosanova, Casanova" absolutely begs for the Ran (Aya) x Ken pairing, and so after many years of... thinking about it, I finally wrote a song fic for it!
The time of this fic takes place at the end of the Yuriko episode (Yuriko is the girl Ken gets involved with and wants him to go to Australia with her) after Weiss goes in and completes the mission, up to the time of the next morning (a tad before you see Yuriko board her flight. Sorry if this is a spoiler, but it is like, episode 5 or something.
Oh yes, the translated lyrics to the song are taken from SaraMichiru here.
Lyric lines are italicized.
I want to place a wound on your skin and bind you with my love
It was another bloody mission. Another mission that satisfied my blood thirst, as much as I don't want to admit it. But it never really ends. One look at you, and my need surges like wildfire again. I accidentally slashed you with my claws when we were fighting back there, really, it was an accident. That's what I love about you, your red, red hair.
A mark that will never disappear
Fine. Lust. That's what I lust about you. Or maybe not. I lust everything about you. From the top of your head to the tip of your katana. Unlike your katana, my claws do much more visible damage. I'd never want to hurt you, but how I long to run my claws across your chest, mark you, show the world that I got through all your barriers. Show everyone that I, Siberian -- no, Hidaka Ken -- could defeat you if I wanted to. If I wanted to severe my ties from you. Start a new life elsewhere. Could I? Stained with the blood of the countless I've slaughtered?
As I part your lips, I want to pour my jealousy into you
with a long, long kiss
I don't know what got ahold of me. Here we are, right after I just smashed my claws into a guy's face, I run to you. Even Youji and Omi are shocked. You let me kiss you, long, hard and deep. You even let me sink my claws into your back as my tongue invades your mouth. How could you stand by and ignore my feelings, letting me carelessly fling myself into the arms of someone else?
Fearing the strength of love,
my body trembles
I don't know what I'm doing anymore. I can't see anything. All I know is I feel this overwhelming passion flowing through my body and pouring into yours. I can't control it anymore. I shudder as you hold me close.
I will not let even one sigh escape... I want to tie you down
The unexpected happened right after completing our mission, right after it, as a matter of fact. There was such a short time span between the moment our target was taken out and the moment I found myself caught in your painful embrace, so much I almost didn't notice your lips on mine. You took my breath away, and I surely will do the same. All these emotions you held back, even moreso than me, I felt pressed against my lips. How long did it take for you to realize? Katana still in hand, I wrap my arms around your waist. I don't want you to leave.
Cling to my lap.
I don't deny that I feel something. I don't deny it all all, that I feel a lot of things. I just can't express them as freely as you can. With my invitation, you detach your claws from my back and nearly tear my coat apart and then my pants. It all happens so fast I don't remember how I crashed on the floor, bare-assed, while still locked in your kiss. I can stil feel your powerful grip on my hips as your weight pressed firmly between my legs.
I suddenly embrace your back with a grip like your heartbeat
Without warning, your face is a mile away from mine, and all I know in that very moment is the excruciating pain that shoots through my body. I had long dropped my katana without knowing when I reach for it instinctively, but instead my gloved hands find your back. I know I shouldn't have pulled you in like I did, but I wanted to feel the pain, over and over again until my heart stops beating.
And I close my tear-filled eyes
Never before have I seen you like this, pounding your frustrations into me. Is that all you're feeling? Your thrusts mount, and I start to cry from the pain. Have you forgotten what love is? But when I looked up, I could see you crying too. I can't bear to see you this way, so I close my eyes.
As we swear eternal fall from virtue
We don't know what became of Youji and Omi, but they made themselves scarce earlier. Here we were, lying amist piles of corpses which we've created in this place, and losing ourselves to our unspoken emotions. Your lips return to mine, and I know that it is not anger you feel. But even if it was anger, I would gladly accept it, knowing there is no one else in the world you would rather desecrate yourself with. The passion ignited between the two of us burns the flesh and the mind, and it will never extinguish. Not as long as we're both alive.
Let’s sink into our fate together
Pain is replaced by pleasure, and I can feel you growing within me. It doesn't take long before you spill everything into me, your pain, your frustration, your passion, and your love. Every last drop of it. And I, all over your black shirt, pouring my sins onto your already troubled chest.
I want to change all your snow-like skin with these hands
As soon as I realize what I've done, I also realize I'm not in this alone. After all the damage I've caused, here you lie in front of me, a part of me very much buried inside of you, and you still look up at me like you understand, or do you? Are you indifferent about me as always? I wished that I could lift the coldness in you and show you how I felt with these hands of mine, but everytime, they seem to cause more destruction than redemption. I withdraw from you and start to cry. What have I done to my love?
A heavy shiver passes through me as he leaves me, and it's replaced by an empty void, a detachment more painful than the entrance from before. Why are you crying again? Ignoring the pain, I sit up so I can touch your face, and ask you why you're crying.
Yes, come here in front of my very eyes
You shy away from me, as if you're afraid of my touch, but I shake my head and beckon you closer. Finally following through, you let my now bare hands wipe the tears from your eyes, the eyes I've looked into so many times and seen nothing but love for everyone, and for me. Maybe I'll kiss you this time.
Yes, hide nothing as you show yourself to me
I can't detect the usual indifference in you as your kiss envelopes me. Are you really Aya, or did an incubus possess you? When you whisper three little words as our lips part, I finally see what you've worked so hard to conceal. You comfort me with the few words you have, telling me to stay. And I accept despite my silence.
Yes, kneel before me as if asking for my love
It didn't matter that we were in a place filled with casualties, I need you to see how I feel before it's too late. Ignoring the man whose life you claimed, I take the seat near his corpse as you drop to your knees and take me into your hot mouth, asking if it's enough. I moan in reply. And all you could do was comply, discarding your gloves and rubbing your strong, warm hands on my aching skin.
Yes, laugh and say that such things like shyness are just curses
Strange, it may seem, but I feel more exposed now than ever. The vibration of a chuckle escapes your throat, and you smile with your eyes on mine. Embarrased as I was, there was no stopping you nor my desire for you to continue.
I want to place a wound on your skin and bind you with my love
Harder and closer you get, faster and quicker I respond. The smell is so strong that it's euphoric as you near your release again. Even without my claws, I can still find a way to mark you, even if it's just for a short while. I hear the sweetest sound of your gasping my name when my nails dig sharply into your pale buttocks, even as you're flooding my mouth.
A mark that will never disappear
I can still feel the intense pain and pleasure, as if the sensations you gave me was meant to haunt me. Even if all that happened last night was your way of saying farewell, I don't think I'll ever forget it.
As I part your lips, I want to pour my jealousy into you
Before you left for the airport, I wanted to hold you one last time. Just one last time, let me kiss you. Maybe I can convince you not to go.
with a long, long kiss
How can I pretend I'm okay with you going away? I would say I'm sorry for acting the way I have been in the past, but I suppose it's too late to say anything now. Last night can't make up for our past history. All I can do is hold this kiss for as long as I can.
With a long, long kiss.
Wait for me, Aya.

Of all the stupid things he had ever said and done, Zell had to kiss his bestfriend and tell him "I love you" at the beginning of their vacation together. The blonde sighed heavily, leaning back on his arms tucked behind his head. It had been a few hours since they had arrived in Winhill, and they stayed on separate floors since their unexpected exchange. The sun was setting outside the windows he faced, giving the room a warm orange glow. The bed Zell lied on was cushiony soft and of a decent size, and so for a moment, he pondered, why don't they share the bed? He swatted the idea quickly as Squall seemed disoriented enough from his sudden confession. Then again, he himself was disoriented too. Only Hyne knows how long it's been since he started liking, no, loving Squall. However, through the days of the sorcereress and the past year since they defeated Ultimecia, Zell had concluded that nothing could ever develop between them besides friendship. Especially with Squall and Rinoa's relationship, Zell had pushed the thought of liking Squall to the furthest corner of his mind. Somehow though, on days like today, his suppressed emotions would surface unexpectedly. Why today? Why not the last day of their vacation? Zell threw a pillow at the closed window and muttered silent curses to himself.
A shadow passed over Zell's face, slightly startling the boy from his thoughts. Squall frowned down at his friend and spoke quietly. "I'm going to dinner at the pub next door, you coming?"
Jolted from his thoughts, Zell blinked rapidly and stammered, "Ye-eah sure." He watched as Squall turned promptly and headed back out the door without another word. No need to hesitate, he told himself, and the blonde hopped off the bed and trotted downstairs after his friend. Pretend nothing happened, that's it, nothing happened earlier.
Despite it being just sunset, the cool night air had settled on Winhill already. The town, like Laguna's room, was bathed in a warm, orange afterglow, a certain sign of peace in this little town. To Squall, it was calm and cozy. To Zell, it was quaint and suffocating. But yet, they both acted as if the opposite were true. The small stand opposite their building was in the process of being closed, and the owner paced quickly with two children at her feet, carrying flowers and pots after their mother. It wasn't like Zell to be distracted-- well it was-- but to be distracted by a flower stand wasn't a normal distraction for him. Squall didn't notice, as quickly as he should've, that Zell wasn't following him when he gestured to his missing friend for a table for two, much to the amusement of the pub owner. The brunette aplogized curtly then headed out the swinging doors to see where Zell had gone. His eyes scoured the town square and quickly caught sight of the hyper chocobo head directly across from where he stood. What was that guy up to now?
"Thanks," Zell piped as he paid for the gardenia and lily bouquet in his hand. The lady smiled back equally cheerfully, accepting the gil while her children departed from her side and followed Zell like goslings. "Yo Squall!" The blonde waved his empty hand and bounded across the square to his impatient-looking friend on the porch of the pub.
"Dinner, remember?" Sometimes Squall didn't know if he could count on Zell staying on task. This would be one of those times.
"Yeah I remember. I got these for you," he grinned mischieviously, that trademark grin he flashed at him the first time they met, and he thrust the bouquet of white flowers at his friend.
"......."
Zell rubbed the back of his head with his other hand. He hoped Squall would break the silence before he said something stupid. Again. The flowers meant nothing but good, friendship-based, intentions, he swore to himself. Then he waited, for Squall to push the flowers back at him. To his surprise, Squall took the flowers instead, his head slightly lowered with his bangs covering his eyes.
"How... how did you know..."
Booya! He made a right move for once, Zell had to give himself credit for that one. Snap back to the immediate situation Zell, he urged himself. "Well, this town's only brimming with them. Last time we came here we were running all over town looking for clues and we just kept running into these flowers." He shrugged, trying to catch Squall's eye, but his head was still down. "I figured, well first day here and all, you'd probably like something fresh in the house after the long drive today." Zell couldn't figure out why Squall wouldn't look at him... wait, was he blushing? Squall Leonhart, the emotional iceberg, blushing? Nah, he must be imagining things.
"Thank you, Zell," was the soft reply, and a soft brush of their lips. Then two giggles from behind Zell. The blonde totally didn't notice the children at his tail, and was now all too aware that they were in public.
"Children! Get back here and help me!" their mother called, and the kids dashed back to their posts as obedient little shophands.
He blinked. Squall was gone, along with the bouquet. Did he just imagine that encounter or did it really happen? If it did happen, was that.. a kiss? Feeling a bit light in the head from thinking, Zell snapped back to reality and pushed past the pub doors to join Squall for dinner.

One look at this town, and Zell could almost fall asleep. Almost. It was one of the few opportunities ever to spend time alone with Squall, he didn't have time to be sleeping, even if it was so quiet and boring. Everybody had somewhere they wanted to go, like Irvine and Selphie wanted to go to Galbadia, Quistis wanted to go to Fisherman's Harbor, Rinoa wanted to go to Timber, and Squall wanted to go to Winhill, but Zell wanted to go somewhere different for a change. Ma loved it when her son could afford time to come home, but she also encouraged him to go out and enjoy himself too. He figured, if Squall didn't refuse, he'd go along with him. So here he was. In this boring town where even monsters were infrequent.
Just one step outside the car, and Squall found himself feeling queasy already. He was oddly fond of this town, even when the only times he ever stepped in it were when Ellone sent them on a mind trip back to Laguna's time in Winhill and when they stopped in to help the mansion owner find pieces to a broken vase. Although he couldn't remember the past and despite his low opinion of Laguna, Squall felt a strange connection to this town. Swallowing hard, he took in the view of the charming, small buildings and the few inhabitants walking about. It was a quiet little town, as always, and there weren't many changes since the last time they were there, only that time Irvine was with them too. Squall looked over to his companion and blinked. Zell didn't like this place last time, why was he here now? The town was too quiet and slow for him, who had enough enthusiasm to suffice for the both of them, and yet he decided to accompany him here? Squall shook his head in thought, but there was no doubt that no matter what Zell's reason was, he was glad he came along.
"So baby, where are we staying?"
Squall flinched. After all the time he had spent with Zell, he still wasn't quite familiar with being called baby. Whatever, he thought to himself, and pulled out his suitcase from the backseat before shutting the car door behind him. The weather was just right, the sun shining pleasantly, the sky was clear and sparse with clouds, and a soft breeze blew through his short brown hair. There was even a light fragrance of gardenia in the air. Squall shut his eyes for a few seconds as he walked down the path between the two buildings towards Winhill's main square, with Zell following close behind, carrying his own luggage. The two boys were dressed in casual clothes for their vacation, which was a nice change from their usual outfits. Zell was wearing baggy khaki-green cargoes topped with a black muscle tanktop, showing off his well-toned arms. Instead of his normal red sneakers, he wore a pair of black running shoes, which was the only other pair of shoes he owned. Squall, on the other hand, was wearing a light, white t-shirt and black leather jeans with his regular boots. Okay, so maybe the only thing different about his outfit was the missing bomberjacket, which happened to be in his suitcase.
Running a free hand through his hair as he stepped into the light of the main square, Squall could feel a nostalgic rush throughout his body. Despite Zell's constant talking behind him, the brunette ignored the chatty blonde and made his way across to Raine and Laguna's old house.
"Whoa, we're staying here? This is awesome, do we have the whole place to ourselves? Man, this place reminds me of home," Zell's mouth ran off even as they got upstairs to check out the rooms. Or rather, the one room and a bathroom across the hall. "Huh, there's only one room, how are we going to do this?"
Okay so he didn't mind his friend's company so much, but this was definitely one of those times Squall just wanted Zell to shut up. "You can have the room. I'll sleep downstairs," Squall said curtly before picking up his suitcase again to head down the stairs.
Quickly, Zell reached out and grabbed Squall by the shoulder. "Hey wait, no I think you should have the room. It is your--er Laguna's house afterall, and I bet he's the one who let you stay here, so I'll take the couch in the living room. It's only fair, right?"
He really didn't want to be reminded that, of all times, that joker might be his father. Really, he didn't want to think about it. He knew Raine was his mother, and he yearned to find more about the woman who gave him life, but as for the father, well he was irrelevant. What kind of father would leave his own son in an orphanage? Sure Laguna had a reason, he had to save Esthar from oppression, something like that, but he already lost his wife, so how could he bear to ditch his remaining son?
D'oh, he really needed to think before he spoke, as Zell instantly knew his blunder from the way Squall's face was reacting to this words. He had to distract Squall from his thoughts, and he needed to act fast. Luckily for his martial artist reflexes, Zell's instincts took over and he leaned forward and brushed his lips against Squall's. As if his mouth had a mind of its own, three words escaped in the silence that passed between them. "I love you." Squall dropped his suitcase.
Or maybe he did it again. Oops.
Squall's mind shut down for a full minute. His thoughts had been overloaded by mixed emotions about his past and his family, then suddenly Zell kissed him. Zell kissed him? The second his brain restarted, Squall processed the latter. What did he just say?
Zell clenched his jaw inside and waited for a reaction. Too late to take back his words, he supposed, so he just stood still and watched Squall as he slowly opened his mouth.
"You.. you take the room." Squall picked up his suitcase again and left the room, leaving Zell dumbfounded.
