"Okay kids, today's class is about the deviant fandom that pertains to one of the many taboos of society."
The children in Hakkai second-grade class, sitting quietly behind their desks, stared blankly at the redhead. Who was this strange fellow and where was their teacher?
"We'll be covering the topics of shounen-ai, yaoi and yuri, and last but not least, hentai! Now, you may say, why should I care? Well I'll tell you why, because even if you don't like these things, you should at least know what they are in this day and age. If you don't know, you're only setting yourself up to be offended or disgusted by it if you come across it by accident.
"First of all, there is shounen-ai, which, by strict translation, means "boy-love." What exactly does that mean? Shounen-ai, or boy's love, also called BL, means male homosexual love. Gay relationships between guys, boys and men alike. There's also shotacon, but we'll cover that later, because you might just take up on my suggestions in class. Anyway, there is also yaoi, and it means sex, whether traditional or not, between guys."
A brash little girl in brown pigtails and a flowerprint dress raised her hand and waved about wildly. Gojyo skimmed the sitting chart on the desk and found a name to match the face.
"Ah, Rika-chan, yes?"
Rika nodded quickly then piped, "What about girls?"
In the corner of his crimson eye, a twinkle sparked. "Oh yes, I was just getting to that," Gojyo said as he grinned broadly. "As for girls, the term for relationships between girls is called shoujo-ai, which is translated into "girl-love," but that term is rarely used. Instead, most people would prefer the term yuri, which is the female component to yaoi, as in lesbian sex. Ah I use the terms gay and lesbian loosely, of course, because there's bisexual people like me, you know?"
Before Gojyo could tell the class about hentai, the classroom's door swung open loudly. The redhead turned and saw a smiling Hakkai in the door.
"Ohayo Cho-sensei!" the class chimed together, and Hakkai waved apologetically.
"Ohayo minna-san," he replied before looking at Gojyo. Still smiling, he directed a request at the man. "Gojyo-san, do you mind stepping outside for a moment?"
Color drained from the redhead's face. Boy was he in trouble.
