Sigh. Squall Leonhart has GOT to be the hottest guy in this Garden.. heck maybe even all of Balamb!
Standing around in the lobby, Lisa and her friend Cindy gawked at Cadet Leonhart within earshot, perhaps only a few feet away. The girls would whisper once in a while to each other to relay their current thoughts and their tried silence would degenerate into a fit of giggles. It was obvious that if Instructor Trepe was there, Squall and a few other SeeD candidates were probably going to take their SeeD exam soon. Lisa's curiosity made them stick around to find out where they were going before heading to the cafeteria for lunch.
Soon, Instructor Trepe and Squall were joined by yet another candidate, Cadet Dincht, or the Garden's infamous hotdog-loving Zell. The girls watched in wonder as Zell double-takes at being on the same team as Squall before wiping his hand on his shorts and extending it for a handshake. To which Squall declined without even a slight acknowledgement.
"Kwaah he's so dreamy and COOL, isn't he??" Cindy cooed into Lisa's ear.
"Ooh look look, he shot him down!" Lisa replied in a hushed giggle.
"You don't get along Seifer, do you?" Zell tried to pipe up a conversation after retrieving his hand, but Squall still had no response. "Heard he whooped you pretty bad this morning."
This time Squall responded, but in a quiet, icy tone. "We weren't fighting. We were training."
Cindy continued to giggle, but Lisa blinked. Squall really was too cool to be true, perhaps even cold. The petite brunette had an uncomfortable feeling about Squall now, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to share it with Cindy this time.
"I bet you he doesn't think so," Zell made another attempt at being friendly. "Look Seifer's just being a pain in the ass. All you have to do is ignore him."
"That's none of your business," Squall shot back, and maybe he sounded slightly offended that Zell was giving him advice about Seifer.
Maybe it was too few lines to judge by, but Lisa wouldn't second guess the situation. Was Zell hitting on Squall or was she imagining things? She glanced over at her friend, who was too taken by Squall's indifferent mannerism to notice, and pondered about the chances of maybe even guys liking Squall too.
